Compton was also found to be in possession of approximately 7 grams of Methamphetamine. Michelle Leigh Booker, age 32, Wiltshire Drive, Gray, was taken into custody by investigators late Wednesday afternoon after being indicted by a Washington County Grand Jury earlier this month. Booker was found to have been stealing money from the bank account during the time frame of November and May Booker used the money to purchase phone time and commissary for friends of hers who were inmates. Also among the unauthorized purchases, were multiple online purchases from Walmart. According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, a Gray man was arrested early Tuesday morning following an investigation into a series of Auto Burglary occurring overnight in the area of Molton Circle. William M. Edwards, age 25, Crystal Springs Circle, Gray, was taken into custody by patrol officers after responding to reports of someone breaking into cars. Upon his arrest, Edwards was found with additional stolen items discovered to have been taken from other vehicles in the neighborhood. Edwards was charged with 8 counts of Auto Burglary and 6 counts of Theft of Property and is scheduled for arraignment in General Sessions Court on Wednesday at am.
